Project Final: Reflection at the end

My piece on Tex
Credit: Me

Tex is a beautiful dog. He is so full of energy and love. When I took him out of the cage at Cache Human, he was constantly pulling me around. He wanted to see what new and exciting things there were to explore. This energy and excitement are what I tried to portray in my portrait of him. I imagined a life that he would be happy in. Tex is a dog who wants to see the world. I think he would be happiest roaming the mountains and the many natural wonders of the world.

My idea was that if I made this portrait for many dogs like this and posted them online it would attract people that were looking for a dog like Tex. I was trying to advertise the experiences that you could have with Tex as your dog. I think I did well in my final form of this portrait of Tex was very successful in fulling my vision. I had to be patient in as I was trying to create this piece because I was layering watercolors. I had to work to not remove any o the work that I had done before as I was adding the layers. This was stressful but the final result is something that I am proud of.

This piece isn't prefect but I am happy with how I was able to achieve my goal for representing Tex. He is a very wonderful dog I and feel that I was able to capture the love and kindness that he has.
