The Last Post

So this is the end of the semester. I am so surprised that we have gotten to this point. I really though the semester would feel far longer. It did not. I have really enjoyed being in Logan, getting to know new people, making friends and learning new things.  This class has been less of a class about Dogs in Art and more a class on how to think critically about the world around us. There are things that I have enjoyed about this and things that I missed. I enjoyed exploring our relationship and perception of dogs. I was challenged and worked to deconstruct some notions I had about the animals around us. I have made an effort to spend more time in nature and with the natural world to notice the bird song, the squirrels, and changing leave colors. This active awareness is something that I find great joy in. I have noticed as the squirrels on campus develop their winter coats. I have seen the beauty of nature more first hand. I am very glad of this development in my life.  ...
